![]() The landscaping photos have to be from 10 years ago, it does not look the same as website. they had a safe, it was sitting on the floor unsecured out in the room. The kitchenette was nasty and not useable. no lighting in what you could NOT call a kitchenette. Room outdated broken blinds and light by bed. We have tried to reason with the property managers.) Pigeon feces on the stoop and a pigeon nest over door. (You prepay the rooms so you have no recourse. This place should not be rented and especially at $170.00 a night. They could have just declined to process the following nights since I checked out immediately, but like a bad deal goes, they stuck me for the unused nights as well. It is always run separately anyway, as they charge the first night right up front and authorize the following nights again the card. I paid the first night and asked as respectfully as possible to be refunded, or just not charged for the remaining three nights. Who would stay in such conditions? Buyer beware. 10) Non-sanitized surfaces throughout the room. 8) Uninviting, inhospitable décor more in line with a prison than a hotel suite. 6)ĝust falls from the blinds on the window. 4) The drainage in the shower was uncovered and unsanitary. Cool and lukewarm water only in kitchen and bath. 2) The property was in disrepair as furniture and fixtures were broken, damaged, underpainted, and peeling 3) There was no hot water in the unit. Here is the list of atrocities I endured that first awful evening: 1) The room smelled of smoke immediately upon opening the door. I paid for the first night and promptly left. I told the manager the night of check-in, there is NO WAY I can stay here the entire stay. This was my experience on Apwhen arriving at a four nights stay that ended with early checkout 10 AM April 17. If you know your hotel is so bad that you have to take people's money for four day stays right up front because the customer will checkout immediately and want a full cancellation upon seeing the accommodations, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. Given the beautiful location, none of those issues really bugged me much. There is free continental breakfast, in yet a different building a couple of blocks away. The main office where you check in is in a different building about a block away. ![]() This hotel is apparently one of several owned by Hollywood Beach Hotels. There are absolutely no such amenities here. ![]() Not a large sum, but I'd think typically a resort fee would cover resort-type amenities. (I couldn't figure out if there was a way to just watch regular cable.) I was also inexplicably charged a $9.61 "resort fee". Smart TV seemed to require personal login for streaming apps if you want to use them. All of that said, if you're looking for a typical 2/2.5 star chain hotel experience, e.g., Hampton, Days, Comfort, etc., this is absolutely not it. Staff were polite and helpful, room was clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable. But, be prepared to get your steps in if you want to go out for coffee, dinner, drinks, etc. 25-.5 miles north on the broadwalk from most of the restaurants, bars, and shops. It is literally steps- like 20 feet- from the sand, right on the "broadwalk." It is about. ![]() The main reason I might consider returning in the future is the location. I also found the ability to message back and forth through the secure email portal very helpful. In my opinion, what I got for the price was well worth it. If you stay there, I recommend that you do not expect a 5-star hotel, but instead focus on the value of what you are getting for the price. I had read the reviews prior to booking the room so I was not expecting a 5-star hotel, which is completely fair because I was not paying 5-star prices. The room had a kitchenette, dishes, utensils, etc., so I was able to bring food there and make many meals right at the room. I spent hours upon hours of my stay watching the ocean, the beach, and the passers-by strolling along the boardwalk. When I walked into my room and saw the view of the ocean I was blown away at how beautiful it was. Everyone else at the front desk was great too throughout my stay. Maria at the front desk was super friendly and informative when in checked-in. I liked it so much that I went back just a little over a week later. Location, view, 3 pools, and friendly staff = 5 stars! I found my little piece of heaven when I visited.
